Disabled Access Registration

Thank you for your recent purchase. If you would like access to our disabled customer facilities and/or are applying for a free PA/companion ticket, please read the following information, fill in this form and send it back to us with proof of disability.

General Notes

All disabled customers are welcome at Creamfields, but as it is a greenfield site there maybe steep stony hilly sections, meaning that sometimes access across the site is not that easy especially in bad weather conditions. Please bare this in mind when booking for the event.

Creamfields provide a number of facilities in the arena and campsite to accommodate disabled customer’s needs. Not all disabled customers need use of these facilities but we will provide access to whatever is needed and/or a free PA/companion ticket where required to ensure your stay is comfortable and most of all enjoyable.

Distances

Please see the Disabled Access Information section on the Creamfields Festival Website for the distances involved across the festival. All distances are subject to change. www.creamfields.com

Arena Facilities: Entrance – There will be a dedicated entrance for disabled customers and their party. The gate number will be confirmed on your ticket(s).

Viewing platforms – Are subject to demand and availability and therefore cannot be guaranteed in advance. Up to date information will be available on the Disabled Access Information section on the Creamfields website closer to the event.

Toilets – There are unisex accessible toilets located in the disabled customer campsite and in some toilet blocks in the arena. Toilet blocks will be confirmed closer to the event. We also provide unisex standard toilets in the disabled campsite for non-wheelchair users & PA/companions.

Electrical Charging Facility – Power points are available for customers who may need to charge their electrical wheelchair or scooter. These are located in the disabled customer campsite and at the welfare point within the arena.

Customers with Hearing Impairments – We regret that there is no induction loop facility at this event.

Strobe Lighting – You are advised that flicker, laser, strobe and other lighting effects may be used during some performances.

Medication – If you need to bring medication with you, we recommend bringing a doctor’s note or a prescription for it if it is not easily recognizable.

Campsite Facilities

The disabled customer campsite is available to customers who are unable to camp in the standard campsites or who need access to the specialist facilities we provide.

Distance: The disabled customer campsite is much nearer to the festival arena (0.5 miles from the furthest point of the campsite to the disabled customer entrance into the arena).

Limit: You are welcome to camp with your friends, though I’m afraid we must limit this due to restrictions on space. In addition to the disabled customer and their carer, we will permit three more friends in your group. Please ensure you make us aware should you wish to camp with your friends so they are provided with the appropriate wristbands on arrival. Failure to notify us of this may result in us being unable to accommodate your friends on the day.

Facilities we provide in the disabled customer campsite are: Accessible unisex showers and toilets, Standard unisex showers and toilets, Fresh water point, Secure fridge for any medication that may need to be kept cold and Electrical charging points for wheelchairs or scooters on a first come first served basis.

Parking next to your tent: The Creamfields Access Team will permit some customers to park their cars next to their tent/s should this be required for medical reasons and when no other facilities provided are suitable. A car being permitted is at our discretion and if requested and approved in advance of the festival

Customers with mobility impairments will be permitted to drive up to the campsite in order to unload all their luggage and tents and collect them on departure from the festival. All vehicles should then be parked in the disabled customer car park (Unless otherwise authorised) for the duration of the festival, where they will be accessible at all times. Customers can come and go as they please from the festival site if their vehicle is parked in the car park. Cars parked in the campsite are not permitted to move until departure.

Gas: Please note Gas stoves/cylinders are NOT permitted in the disabled customer campsite. The recommended cooking stoves are any solid fuel type such as: Disposable BBQ’s or Hexi Stove with solid fuel block. Petrol fuelled cookers and generators will not be permitted in any campsite.

Arrival Process: On arrival at the campsite you will be greeted by our campsite security who will check you in. Once checked in you will be directed to your camping space. Cars that are not permitted to stay in the campsite will be asked to unload and once it is convenient, move into the disabled customer car park. Directions to the car park and the appropriate parking hanger will be given if not already known.

Once customers have pitched their tent(s) they are advised to make their way to the wristband exchange area which is located next to the campsite office and wheelchair charging tent with their ticket(s). On arrival you will be asked for your booking name (card holder name), your ticket will be scanned and exchanged for the appropriate wristband. Once customers have been given the appropriate wristband they can come and go from the campsite as and when they need too.

Documentation

To make sure that the support we offer our disabled customers is not abused and that we provide the right facilities to our customers, we need you to provide us with details of your requirement(s). We want to understand how your disability may affect you whilst you are at Download and how we can help you. If you don’t want to provide this information here, please let us know and we will call you to discuss.

Please scan and upload a photocopy of either your DLA letter or equivalent (Christmas Bonus letters are not accepted) or a letter from your doctor clearly confirming the need for the requests on your registration form. If you are unable to scan this information please complete and submit the form as usual. You will then receive an email containing your requirements which you can print and post to us along with the supporting information.

Both the registration form and proof of disability need to be received together in order to be reviewed. If you have requested disabled customer car parking please also send a copy of your official blue badge. Please feel free to cross out any details, such as reference numbers and amounts that are not directly relevant to your application. We will keep these letters secure and once we have reviewed them, we will immediately and securely destroy them. Please be patient and wait to hear from us. If you have not heard from us within 6 weeks of sending in your application please email us at the below address.

Requests need to be submitted within 2 weeks of purchasing your ticket. As the festival draws closer the cut off date for submitting your registration form will be one week prior. Registration forms cannot be submitted on the day. Please fill in the registration form as soon as you are able.
