Creamfields sells out for the first time in its history attracting 60,000 people across the weekend.
The festival also scooped the award for ‘Best Dance Festival’ at the 2009 UK Festival Awards, the 3rd time the festival has won and ‘Tourism Event Of The Year’ at the Mersey Tourism Awards. This clocks up a record 12 awards overall for Creamfields since its birth in 1998.
With a stunning line up that stayed true to the festival’s dance roots, highlights included Calvin Harris who joined collaborator Dizzee Rascal for a surprise performance on the Main Stage and David Guetta declaring he had “played his best ever set” to a full capacity crowd in the Cream arena.
Creamfields also added to its extensive line-up of International shows by staging the first ever dance festival in the United Arab Emirates ‘Creamfields Abu Dhabi’, and staging its first Creamfields festival in the Ukraine.
